Course Description: In this course, students will gain a biblical understanding of the destructive nature of envy, jealousy and covetousness. They will learn how these attitudes stem from a lack of trust in God's provision and lead to bitterness, strife and even health issues. By the end of the course, students will be equipped to: -Define envy, jealousy and covetousness from a scriptural perspective -Recognize the roots of these attitudes in distrust of God and comparison with others -Understand how envy and jealousy can cause relational strife, especially in marriage -See the link between covetousness and idolatry -Identify envy and jealousy at work in their own lives -Take practical steps to uproot envy and jealousy through repentance and contentment -Find freedom by keeping their eyes fixed on God rather than others -Pray prayers of deliverance from spirits of envy, jealousy, greed, bitterness, and more Throughout the course, students will interact with relevant Bible passages and discuss real-life application. They will be challenged to allow the Holy Spirit to shape their character and will leave with tools to walk in godly contentment.
